Current Practice Schedule:

SAT: 5pm-6:30pm

• One-Handed Sword practice- instruction in rapier, saber, sword + buckler, singlestick, sidesword, smallsword, etc.

SAT: 7pm-9pm

• Open Floor- freeform practice time for free sparring, source study, or other self-led training

SUN:

• alternating fitness classes + workshops- see calendar for details

MON: 5:30pm-6:45pm

• Grappling- instruction in wrestling and dagger

MON: 7pm-9pm

• Beginners Longsword classes- run in 8 week sessions, see calendar

WED: 7pm-9pm

• Longsword- instruction and sparring on Fiore’s longsword

Please contact us before dropping into a practice session. We sometimes have minor alterations in our schedules, and may not be practicing every listed practice date. Experienced fencers are welcome to attend any of our practices as guests, but we ask any individual with no HEMA experience to take part in our beginner class before anything else. For guests, we charge a drop-in fee of $15 (can be paid via Venmo, cash, or check).

BEGINNER CLASSES:

Registration for our Beginner Classes are currently closed until the end of 2026. Please contact us to join the waitlist.

BCHF holds Beginner Classes 2-3 times per year. The Beginner Class is an 8 week course that covers the basics of longsword fencing, as instructed by Fiore’s martial system. The entire course costs $150. No experience required. All equipment provided. Held Mondays 7pm-9pm.
